Smeg Fridges

Smeg’s 50’s Style refrigerator is the FAB range – the curved cabinet, the chrome handle and the badge that turned a fridge into a piece of furniture. There are 59 here across five cabinet sizes and 25 colours. Sadec Online Shoppers is an independent South African retailer: we buy genuine, boxed Smeg stock and resell it, and every fridge on this page is priced 39% below Smeg South Africa list. Prices start at R15,850 for the bar fridge and run to R126,900 for the Dolce & Gabbana edition.

Which FAB should you buy? The number is the cabinet, not the colour, and the difference that matters is how much freezer you get. The FAB10 is a 50cm bar fridge, 105 litres plus a 17-litre freezer – a flat, an office or a second fridge. The FAB28 is the icon: 60cm, 244 litres, but only a 26-litre freezer compartment inside, so it suits someone who shops fresh and freezes little. The FAB30 keeps the 60cm footprint and gives you a proper 72-litre freezer against 222 litres of fridge. The FAB32 is the family choice – 234 litres of fridge over the biggest freezer Smeg fits in 60cm, 97 litres, 331 litres in total. The FAB50 is the 80cm flagship, no-frost with dual cooling, for a kitchen where the fridge is the anchor of the room.

Is Sadec Online Shoppers an authorised Smeg dealer?

No, and we do not claim to be. We are an independent South African retailer that buys genuine, new, boxed Smeg stock and resells it, which is where the 39% saving comes from. Your after-sales support runs through us rather than through a Smeg service agent.

What warranty comes with a Smeg fridge from Sadec?

The six-month warranty against defects that the South African Consumer Protection Act gives every buyer, and it sits with us as the seller. On a fridge that means we arrange collection and a repair, replacement or refund - you are not left carrying a 100kg appliance to a service centre.

How does delivery work on a fridge?

By freight, not standard courier. We confirm a delivery date with you before dispatch and check access first - stairs, lift dimensions, doorway widths and whether the cabinet will turn the corner into your kitchen. Tell us at the time of order if there is anything awkward about the route.

What are the decorated and Porsche editions?

Smeg builds special finishes on the FAB28 cabinet. The decorated editions add applied designs and softer colours such as Taupe, Rust and Sea Salt Green. The Porsche x Smeg editions are finished to automotive paint standards, including the 917 Salzburg in the Le Mans livery. The Dolce & Gabbana Blu Mediterraneo is hand-decorated in the Sicilian majolica pattern.
