Reading a Smeg model code
Every FAB code states the cabinet, the hinge and the colour. Once you can read it, comparing two listings takes a second.
The cabinet
The number after FAB is the cabinet. FAB10 is the 50cm bar fridge. FAB28, FAB30 and FAB32 are all 60cm wide, the FAB28 being a single door with an internal freezer box and the other two being two-door fridge-freezers. FAB50 is the 80cm one.
The hinge
R is a right-hand hinge, L is a left-hand hinge. Sadec lists the right-hand versions because they suit most South African kitchen layouts. Left-hinge models exist for nearly every colour and can be ordered in.
The colour
The last two letters are the finish: BL black, CR cream, WH white, RD red, PB pastel blue, PG pastel green, PK pink, LI lime, OR orange, BE beige, YW yellow. So FAB30RRD5 reads as a right-hinged red FAB30.

What does delivery cost?
Delivery is free to any address in South Africa, with no minimum spend. Large appliances such as refrigerators and cookers are booked with you before dispatch so somebody is there to receive them.
What is the difference between FAB28, FAB30 and FAB32?
All three are 60cm wide. The FAB28 is a single-door fridge with a freezer compartment inside the fridge cavity. The FAB30 and FAB32 are two-door fridge-freezers with the freezer behind its own door, the FAB32 being the taller cabinet. The FAB10 is the 50cm bar fridge and the FAB50 is the 80cm wide model.
What do the letters after the model number mean?
They state the hinge and the colour. R is a right-hand hinge and L is a left-hand hinge, then two letters for the finish: BL black, CR cream, WH white, RD red, PB pastel blue, PG pastel green, PK pink, LI lime, OR orange, BE beige, YW yellow. So FAB30RRD5 is a right-hinged red FAB30.
