Who Sadec Online Shoppers is
Sadec Online Shoppers is a South African online retailer, trading since 2021 from Prestbury in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. We sell three brands and nothing else: Fieldbar cooler boxes, Smeg kitchen appliances and Stanley cups and bottles. Everything is bought in as new, boxed, genuine stock and sold from our own shelves.
We are small and independent. There is no franchise behind us, no showroom floor and no head office. That is the reason the prices here sit below the high street, and it is also the reason we are careful to tell you exactly what you are buying and who stands behind it.
We are an independent reseller, not an authorised dealer
We say this plainly, because buyers ask and because the answer changes what you should expect. We are not an authorised dealer for Smeg, Fieldbar or Stanley, and we do not claim to be. We buy genuine stock and resell it.
What changes is where your after-sales support comes from: it runs through us as the seller, not through a brand service agent. What does not change is the product. The unit in the box is the same unit, with the same specification, that the brand ships anywhere else.
How you can tell the stock is genuine
Branded stock only, never replicas and never lookalike brands. Every Fieldbar cooler box arrives with its individually numbered brass plaque and the five-year warranty Fieldbar puts on it. Every Smeg appliance carries its model code, and every listing on this site shows that code, the dimensions and the full specification, so you can check it against the manufacturer before you buy.
If a listing here ever disagrees with the manufacturer on a specification, the manufacturer is right and we want to hear about it.
Why the prices are lower
Three reasons, none of them exciting. We carry no showroom overhead. We buy stock in directly rather than through a distributor chain. And we run on thin margins, because we would rather move stock than sit on it.

Where we are, and whether you can come to us
68 Mayors Walk Road, Prestbury, Pietermaritzburg, 3201. It is a collection counter rather than a shop floor, so orders are placed and paid online first and we have them waiting for you. Collection is free and takes nothing off what you pay.
Counter hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 and Saturday 08:00 to 13:00. Lead times are on collect in Pietermaritzburg. If you would rather not travel, delivery is free to any address in South Africa with no minimum spend, and cross-border orders into the SADC region are quoted per route before you pay. What happens if something goes wrong
Two separate rights, and they are worth keeping apart.
You changed your mind. Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act gives you seven days to cancel an online order, provided the goods are unused and in original packaging. Return shipping on a change of mind is yours.
Something is faulty. The Consumer Protection Act gives every South African buyer six months on defects, and under section 56 that obligation sits with us as the seller. Repair, replacement or refund is your choice, not ours, and we carry the cost. Contact us before sending anything back so we can arrange collection. The full policy is on returns and refunds.
