This is an under-counter built-in, 82 cm tall in a standard 60 cm housing, holding 38 bottles on wooden shelves – three removable and two fixed. It runs two independent cooling systems rather than one compressor split across two zones, so the 5 to 20 degree range holds far more precisely in each half. Double anti-UV door glass, an integrated heating element, a low-vibration compressor and electronic control. Because it is built in it needs its housing and front ventilation; it cannot stand loose in a room.
Worth comparing before you commit: our free-standing 197-bottle cabinet is R46,699 – roughly R10,000 less than this, for five times the bottles. The built-in costs more because it is built in and runs two separate cooling circuits, not because it holds more wine. If the cabinet does not have to disappear into the joinery, the free-standing model is far better value.
