Storm blue is the deep, slightly grey blue in the range – closer to a vintage car than to navy, and one of the few colours that works against dark cabinetry.
The 50’s Style kettle is the KLF03: a 1.7 litre stainless steel body on a 360-degree base, so it lifts off and sits back from any angle. It runs at 2400 W, which puts a full jug at the boil in around three minutes, and it switches itself off at the boil and again if it is ever switched on empty. The water gauge is on the side and the limescale filter in the spout pulls out for rinsing – worth doing every few weeks on borehole or hard water.
