Smeg Black 30cm Non-Stick Wok
A 30cm, 6.6 litre wok with sloped sides and a flat stainless base, built for a Western hob rather than a wok burner – it sits flat on induction, gas or ceramic and takes the heat straight through instead of needing a ring. The volume is what matters here: 6.6 litres means you can actually toss a stir fry for four without half of it going over the side. Cold-forged aluminium, stainless AISI304 handle.
A note on the coating, because the two Smeg cookware lines are not the same. This is the 50s Style line, which uses a three-layer PTFE non-stick rather than the PFAS-free ceramic on the Cookware line pieces in black, cream and emerald green. Both are oven safe to 250°C, both are dishwasher safe and both take induction; the difference is the coating chemistry, and it is worth knowing which one is in your basket.
