No gas connection, no bottle, no flame. The CG90CIXT puts a five-zone induction hob over a 90cm thermo-ventilated oven, which makes it the cooker to specify in a flat, an estate with no gas reticulation, or anywhere a gas installation certificate is more trouble than it is worth.
Induction heats the pan rather than the surface, so it responds as fast as gas and the glass around the pot stays cool enough to touch. Spills wipe straight off a flat ceramic top instead of coming apart into burner caps and pan supports. It does need magnetic cookware – if a magnet sticks to the base, it works.
