Polished stainless with a black glass door. This is the biggest microwave Smeg sells as a countertop unit, and the only one in the range that also bakes.
Combi means three heat sources in one cabinet: 1100 W of microwave power, a 1100 W grill, and a 2500 W circular convection element with a fan. That last one is the difference. A plain microwave reheats; this one roasts a chicken, bakes a tray of scones and browns a lasagne, then goes back to being a microwave. It runs on an inverter, so instead of pulsing full power on and off it holds a genuine low setting – the reason defrosting comes out evenly instead of cooked at the edges. At 34 litres the cavity swallows a casserole dish that will not fit a 25 litre machine.
