Forty ounces is 1.18 litres, and it is the size that turned the Quencher into the cup everyone recognises. Not the 30 oz and not the 64 oz jug: the 40 oz is the one sized to hold a full day of water, sit in a car cup holder, and still be liftable with one hand when it is full.
The H2.0 FlowState build is double-walled 18/8 stainless steel with a vacuum between the walls, a handle you can get four fingers through, and a base tapered to 7.9 cm so it drops into a cup holder that a straight-sided bottle will not fit. The lid rotates through three positions: an opening for the reusable straw, a wide mouth to drink from, and a full cover for the drive. Filled with ice at 7am, it is still cold at knock-off.
