Pastel green is the softest shade Smeg puts in this range – closer to sage than mint once it is out of the box – and it is the colour most likely to set the tone for a whole counter of appliances.
The CGF01 is Smeg’s filter and plunger grinder: a 350 g bean hopper on a 150 W motor, with a knob for the grind, a button to run it and a lever to release. It has an anti-static system, which sounds like marketing until you have used a grinder without one and spent a morning chasing grounds off the worktop. The grinder assembly and the support plate both come off for cleaning, and a brush is in the box.
