The Blu Mediterraneo kettle is the Smeg and Dolce & Gabbana collaboration, and it is decorated rather than coloured. The pattern comes from Sicilian majolica tiling – lemons, prickly pear and the blues and yellows of the southern Mediterranean – applied over the standard 50’s Style body.
Underneath it is an ordinary KLF03: 1.7 litres, 2400 W, stainless steel, 360-degree base, auto shut-off and boil-dry protection. It is bought for the decoration, and it boils exactly like the R2,561 version.
